 Recognizes a company that has applied innovative environmental efficiency or clean technology to a product or service.
Environmental Excellence Award
EXCELLENCE IN INNOVATION AWARD
 Recognizes a company that has developed a new or improved technology, service, process or product by using creative methods and innovative thinking that has the potential to transform a sector or quality of life.
Excellence in innovation award
INNOVATIVE START-UP OF THE YEAR AWARD
 Recognizes a company less than three years in operation that has demonstrated entrepreneurial excellence and great potential for growth through the development and commercialization of an innovative product or service.
Innovative start-up of the year award
TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP AWARD
 Recognizes an individual who has demonstrated leadership in developing or applying technology and made extensive and tangible contributions to the regional science and technology community in education, public awareness, ambassadorship, or by fostering growth.
Technology leadership award
YOUNG INNOVATOR AWARD
 Recognizes the entrepreneurial spirit of an individual less than 25 years of age who has demonstrated innovative thinking through the research and/or development of a technology-related product or service that has the potential to benefit the region.

Now in its 7th year, the Innovation Awards are your opportunity to show your appreciation for the innovators who looked at their Atari Lynx and said “I can do better”. It’s also your chance to see where today’s regional entrepreneurs are taking us. All in front of regional executives, senior decision makers, government representatives and the media.

Nominations are now accepted for any technology-based business, including your own, located within the MISTIC region (from the Malahat north to the tip of Vancouver Island, including the Sunshine Coast and Gulf Islands).   

The process to nominate is easy - select an award category and fill out the nomination form.  MISTIC will confirm receipt of your nomination via email and a nomination package will be sent to the nominated business/individual to complete and submit for the independent judges’ review and consideration.   

The deadline for nominations has been extended to 4:30pm on July 23, 2012.
